The Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees consists of a minimum of three and a maximum of eleven persons whose special technical expertise and experience or whose outstanding position in industry, science, administration or society allows them to contribute to the effective realization of the purpose of the Foundation. The Board of Trustees is tasked with supervising and advising the Board of Directors in its work, approving the budget and the annual financial statements and giving the Board of Directors professional advice with regard to the projects promoted by the Foundation.

The members of the Board of Trustees

The term of office of the Board of Trustees has a duration of five years and will end on 3 June 2029. In accordance with the statutes, the Board of Trustees currently consists of 9 members appointed by the Wartburg-Sparkasse bank, Eisenach City Council, the Eisenach car manufacturing museum association Automobilbaumuseum Eisenach e.V. and the Eisenach general association of Wartburg drivers Allgemeiner Wartburgfahrer-Club Eisenach as well as one member appointed by the Lord Mayor. In addition, the Board of Directors appoints one representative each from BMW AG and Adam Opel AG as members of the Board of Trustees.
